Report on the Impacts of Rusty Crayfish on Wild Rice

Our invasive species program puts a lot of emphasis on investigating the presence and impacts of invasive species on culturally significant and traditionally harvested resources. Since 2013, 1854 has been researching how the invasive rusty crayfish (Orconectes rusticus) is affecting aquatic vegetation, specifically manoomin.
