Manoomin Season 2023

The 2023 manoomin season opened Tuesday August 15th, 2023, on 1854 Ceded Territory rice waters... but don't always trust the date on the calendar: It is the responsibility of the harvester to determine when the manoomin is ripe and ready for harvest. It is unlawful to harvest green or unripe rice, and can be grounds for citation.
