Governing Board

Grand Portage RTC: The Grand Portage Reservation Tribal Council is the duly elected governing body of the Grand Portage Reservation. The Grand Portage RTC consists of five (5) elected officials.

Bois Forte RTC: The Bois Forte Reservation Tribal Council is the duly elected governing body of the Bois Forte Reservation. The Bois Forte RTC consists of five (5) duly elected officials.

1854 Treaty Authority Board of Directors: The 1854 Treaty Authority Board of Directors is a consortia of the ten (10) duly elected officials of the governing bodies of the Grand Portage and Bois Forte Reservations. The Board of Directors meets bi-monthly to set and establish policy, ensure fiduciary responsibility, and ensure the mission of the 1854 Treaty Authority is properly implemented.

Executive Committee: The Executive Committee is made up of the Chairman, Vice-Chairman, and the

Secretary/Treasurer of the Board of Directors. The role of the Executive Committee is to provide guidance for the 1854 Treaty Authority between meetings of the full board.
